Past Research – Seeking Participants

The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) is seeking feedback from people with disability and carers and/or parents of people with a disability on service offerings to support electoral participation at polling places.

Enabling Spaces has been engaged by the AEC to facilitate focus group discussions across different disability sectors to provide opinion on polling place elector support services, and options to best communicate the service offerings to electors through the AEC website. If you,

  • Have a vision impairment or are blind
  • Have a hearing impairment or are deaf
  • Have a mobility or physical disability
  • Have a cognitive or neurological disability, for example, autism, anxiety, early onset dementia, sensory processing disorder
  • Are either a parent or a carer of a person with a disability

We want to hear your opinion.

Each focus group session will be specific to each of these groups and held on 4th of February 2021. Focus groups will be held via Zoom meeting and then online survey.

Each focus group will have a maximum of 12 participants and will last between 60 and 90 minutes.
